Celebrate their 60 year anniversary on July 19, 2018
Robert R. “Bobby” and Ruthie Hills Mallard of Charleston, SC, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday July 19, 2018 with an evening at Edingsville Beach, Edisto, S.C. accompanied by their family, friends and guests. Bobby and Ruthie were married on July 19, 1958, at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church in Summerville, SC.
They have five children: Robert R. Mallard, Jr. and wife Virginia of Charleston, SC; Timothy S. Mallard of Charleston, SC; Christopher S. Mallard and wife Julie of Charleston, SC; Rose “Sissy” Mallard of Vietnam; and Patrick J. Mallard and wife Kelley of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren: Julia Weil Mallard, Robert R. Mallard III and Grace Ann Mallard, all of Charleston, SC
Lovingly known as Poppas and Meme to their grandchildren and family, they especially enjoy their family being around them each day. Bobby retired as a Family Court judge in Charleston and Berkeley Counties after 35 years. Ruthie has superbly maintained their home for 60 years and is a retired first grade teacher of 25 years.
