Apostle Walter Lee Jackson Sr. and Mrs. Margaret Woods Jackson celebrated their 61st Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, November 23, 2019. The Jackson’s were married at refuge Church 133 Congress Street in 1958, where Mrs. Jackson's father the late Elder Archie Woods, Sr. was the pastor.
Apostle Walter L. Jackson is one of the twelve Apostles that govern the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. He is the Regional Apostle for Region 8 of the Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith Inc. He is the Pastor of Greater Refuge Temple in Charleston, SC and is also the Pastor of Refuge Temple St. Stephen in St. Stephen, SC.
Pastor Jackson resigned from the Charleston Naval Shipyard and became full time in the ministry. Mrs. Jackson retired from the Charleston Veterans Administration Hospital where she worked in the operating room. The Jackson’s decision to celebrate their anniversary in Myrtle Beach, and slow down just a bit.
Their children are Dr. Sheryl J. Johnson( Nathan), Mr. Walter Lee Jackson, Jr ( deceased,) Tammie, Mrs. Karen Smith, Mr. Terrance Jackson ( deceased) and Mr. Archie D. Jackson. They are blessed with 11 grandchildren; Monique Neah, Nathan (deceased), Reginald II, Walter III, Latoya, Janear, Angela, Brian, Sherilyn, and Aunastasia.21 great-grandchildren: Tymon, Zion, Zeada, Tre’vion, Patrick, Margaret, Neah, William, Brandacy, Brandon, Reginald LLL, Jayla, Jamison, Zyaire, Dominick, Marlena, Trinity, David.
