Plain-old Joe Flacco's Wild and Crazy Wedding Photos

Photo & Video >

Sunday’s Super Bowl XLVII probably will be the second-biggest day of Joe Flacco’s life — after, of course, his wedding.

The New York Times’ Scott Cacciola takes a fun look back at that day, focusing on goofy wedding photos that became a hit online following the Baltimore Ravens quarterback's June 25, 2011 wedding.

There’s a photo of Flacco, his wife, Dana, and their wedding party pretending to be frightened during a scary 3D movie, and the one that garnered lots of online attention: Flacco, flanked by an offensive line of groomsmen, under center (Dana, ready to hike her bouquet), calling an audible while holding a Champagne bottle.

Wilmington, Del.-based photographer Jason Preznant was the eye behind the fun moments, though, according to the article, the rest of the day was much more traditional:

From a creative standpoint, the rest of the day was far more conventional. Prezant took photographs of the couple at an intersection along Broad Street in Philadelphia and later at their reception at Penn’s Landing, near the Delaware River.
