Couples looking to get ahead in the savings department can find help through certain local credit unions, which may offer wedding savings or registry accounts. Nerdwallet has a roundup of 10 account programs from Credit Unions across the U.S. Some accounts simply earn interest, others allow for family and friends to help contribute to the wedding fund.
Don’t think these programs are confined to one-off locations, either. One program, the Wedding Savings Account from America First Credit Union, is available at the institution’s 101 locations across Utah and Nevada.
