St. Francis Xavier College Church at Saint Louis University in St. Louis

Wedding Style >

St. Francis Xavier College Church sits on the campus of Saint Louis University (in, yes, St. Louis), and people from all around the city come to worship in the Jesuit church, which was founded in 1841.

All Catholics are welcome to be married at the church — the bride or groom needn’t be a SLU alum. Couples also may bring your own priest to conduct the ceremony if you wish. Before the wedding, couples are welcome to attend a Marriage Preparation Mini-Weekend to reflect on the sacrament of marriage.

One benefit for couples planning their wedding at St. Francis Xavier College Church is a “built-in” reception venue — the Xavier Grand Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 330 people for a seated dinner, is located just below the church. You can make reservations for both the wedding and the ballroom through the College Church.

Cost of church:
• Saturdays: $900 6 to 12 months in advance, $1200 beyond 12 months
• Fridays: $800

Combination packages that include the church, ballroom and parking also are available.
