Groom Plans Secret Wedding Using Bride's Pinterest Page
Amanda Roman's dream was to get engaged and married on the exact same day. So all her boyfriend Ryan Leak had to do was make it happen.
Thank goodness for Pinterest.
Leak, 27, of Dallas, spent a year scouring Roman's "My Dream Wedding" Pinterest board, which included more than 220 wedding-related images, to plan the secret wedding. Leak proposed in Dallas on June 7, five years to the day they met, then the pair jetted off to Miami, a destination chosen because it was easy to get their for their roughly 100 family and friends.
Beyond the dress and flowers and décor, Leak even flew in Roman's favorite hair stylist and makeup artist.
"'The day was even better than how I would have planned it," Roman, 25, told the Daily Mail. "Realistically I never thought that I would be able to pull off some of the things I saw on Pinterest, but Ryan is a risk taker and he didn’t settle for my watered down version of my ‘dream wedding’ — he went for the gusto."
