Our Engagement Announcement
Mrs. Deborah Westbrook Neal and Mr. Jackie Derral Westbrook, both of Summerville, SC are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Melanie Opal Westbrook to Robert McMillan Kennedy Doty, son of Mrs. Annette Kennedy Siebert of Columbia, SC and Mr. Gordon Logan Doty of Winnsboro, SC.
Miss Westbrook is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Horace Howard and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Westbrook , all of Summerville, SC. Melanie earned a BA in Arts with a degree in education from The College of Charleston. She is a fourth grade teacher at Taylors Elementary School in Greenville, SC.
Mr. Doty is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hunter Kennedy of Columbia, SC and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Barkley Doty of Winnsboro, SC. Robert earned a BA from Clemson University and an International MBA from USC’s Darla Moore School of Business. He is employed at Wade Hampton High School as a teacher and coach.
The wedding will take place at Wingate Plantation in Charleston, SC.
