Mr. and Mrs, Joseph Donald Rigter are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Rigter of Mount Pleasant, SC and Mr. Jonathan Patrick Mayer of Charleston, SC, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Charles Mayer, junior of Charlotte, NC.
Ms. Rigter is the granddaughter of Mrs. Treva Dixon Hamrick of Gaffney, SC and the late Mr. Lamont Fred Hamrick and Mr. and Mrs. Joel Amos Rigter of Mount Pleasant, SC and the late Mrs. Joan Wills Rigter.
She is a 2008 graduate of Clemson University, received a BA in Communications and is employed as a Pharmaceutical Territory Sales Manager with Salix Pharmaceuticals in Charleston, SC .
Mr. Mayer is the grandson of Mrs Sylvia Katherine Forrester of Charlotte, NC and the late Mr. Carl Bedell Forrester, junior and Mr. Robert Charles Mayer, senior of Ocean Springs, MS and the late Mrs. Linda Ory Mayer.
He is a 2008 graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he received a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He is employed with Hubner Manufacturing in Mount Pleasant, SC as a Project Engineer.
The wedding is planned for January 20, 2018 at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
