VIDEO: Firefighter Proposes to Counselor During Fire Drill At School
Ohio firefighter Justin Deierling met his now-fiancée Megan Zahorec while volunteering at the school where she is a counselor. So when thinking of how to propose, doing so at the school was an easy choice.
“She loves the kids and she loves her job and I wanted to incorporate the kids,” Deierling told "Good Morning America." “So I contacted the PTO president and the principal and they helped me plan it. It was a big surprise.”
Deierling arranged to pop the question during a fire drill at Greentown Intermediate School in North Canton, Ohio, where Zohorec is a counselor.
And Zoherec wasn't the only one getting a ring that day. Deierling and his fellow firefighters brought along enough Ring Pops for all the students.
