Ahoy! Groom Constructs Pirate Ship for Caribbean-Themed Wedding

Tony Miller, a groom-to-be from Rockton, Ill., always wanted his pirate ship, so when planning his wedding with his fiancée, Kaela Schenk, he tossed the idea of getting married on ship.

Next thing they knew, a pond was dug and construction begun on the ship, on which the couple will marry Aug. 3.

“It’s something I’ve always wanted to build,” Miller told ABC News.

Don't expect to see eye patches and parrots, though; the bride says she's going for a "flowery" Caribbean-wedding theme.

Of course, there were a few snags along the way — like, trying to get a permit for constructing a pirate ship — but the project is on its way to being finished for the August ceremony.

Congrats!
