Our Wedding Announcement

Christina Marie Jackson and Phillip Gardner Buchheit, both of Spartanburg, SC, were united in Holy Matrimony on May 31, 2014, at Holy Trinity Church in Charleston, SC. The Rev. David M. Dubay performed the ceremony at half past five o’clock. A reception followed at The Country Club of Charleston. The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. Andrew Ripon Jackson, III, of Charleston, SC, and Mrs. Susan Vitello Williams of Lakeland, FL. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Ripon Jackson, Jr., of Charleston, SC, and Mrs. Lillian Vitello of Lakeland, FL, and the late Mr. Joseph Vitello. Christina graduated from Wofford College, where she earned a BS degree in Psychology with a minor in Creative Writing and a Master’s degree from Converse College in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a licensed therapist with Integrative Pain Management in Greer, SC, and New Hope Behavioral Health in Greenville, SC.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her grandfather, Mr. Andrew Ripon Jackson, Jr.
The groom is the son of Mrs. William Carmage Buchheit of Spartanburg, SC, and the late Mr. William Carmage Buchheit. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Edwin Gardner and the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip A. Buchheit, all of Spartanburg. Phil graduated from Presbyterian College, where he earned a BS degree in Political Science with a minor in Business. He is employed by Buchheit News Management and The Greer Citizen.

The bride’s attendants were Miss Katie Michelle Brown, Miss Meredith Barrett Jones, Miss Ingrid Rena Lesemann, Mrs. Bonnie Buchheit Salvatierra, sister of the groom; Mrs. Jordan Locke Shurburtt, and Miss Alexandra Lee Wallace. Miss Lilly Karen Constance, cousin of the groom, served as the flower girl.
Mr. William Carmage Buchheit, Jr., brother of the groom, was best man. A rehearsal dinner was given by the groom’s mother on Friday evening, May 30, 2014, on The Carolina Girl. The couple will honeymoon in the Turks and Caicos and then make their home in Spartanburg.
