Keisha Lynette Green was united in matrimony to Nigel Greaves at 5 o’clock pm on October 4, 2014. The ceremony was held at Founders Hall at Charles Town Landing State Historic Site in Charleston, South Carolina. Reverend Bridgette Young Ross, Dean of Chapel and Spiritual Life of Emory University, was the officiant.
Keisha is the proud daughter of Reverend Alvin Green Sr. and the late Glenas D. Green of Greenwood, South Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Nathaniel and Beatrice Williams of North Charleston, South Carolina.
Nigel is the son of Mr. Dunbar Greaves and Mrs. Caryl Greaves-Bowen of Bronx, New York.
The bridal court included matron of honor, Marcella Runell Hall of Springfield, Massachusetts, and maid of honor, Aleatra Benzina Heyward, of North Charleston.
Destinguied gentlemen Carlos Perkins and Richard Howard were the best men.
Keisha Lynette is an alumni of Columbia College and New York University. She is most recently a Doctoral graduate from Emory University Division of Educational Studies. Currently, she joined the faculty at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst College of Education as an assistant professor of english education.
Nigel is an artist, playwrite, educator and counselor from New York and Washington, D.C. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business and has a certificate in non-profit management from the Georgetown University Public Policy Institute. He is the Grant Manager for Hartford Connecticut YMCA.
The couple will reside in Northampton, Massachusetts.
