Ashley Miranda Cross and Karl Franklin DeHaven, both of Charleston, SC, were married on October 3, 2014, at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, SC. The Reverend Karen Salvo Hawkins performed the ceremony at half past five o’clock. A reception immediately followed at the Cotton Dock at the Plantation.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Tina L. Cross and Mr. Charles H. Cross Jr., both of Charleston. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Selma Miller of Atlanta, GA, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Reeves of St. George, SC, and the late Mr. John Binnarr. Miranda is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy A. DeHaven of Charleston. He is the grandson of Mrs. Franklin F. DeHaven Sr. and the late Mr. DeHaven and Mr. and Mrs. Karl E. Salvo, all of Charleston. Karl also graduated from the University of South Carolina.
Melissa C. Ray, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bride’s attendants included Ashlyn Teel, Jessie Yujuicio, Carli Bushoven, Lauren Snipes, and Paige McEachin.
The groom’s brother, Thomas A. DeHaven, stood as best man. Groomsmen included Max Berry, Paul Haile, David Eykyn, Andy Bodiford, and Charles Cross III.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held at High Wire Distilling Company. The couple will make their home in Charleston.
