Chun-yu “Kay” Liu of Taipei, Taiwan and Richard D. “Rick” Phelps of Dallas, Texas were married on September 27, 2014, at the Beitou District Household Registration Office in Taipei, Taiwan. A reception followed at the Lian Tien Wedding Plaza.
The bride is the daughter of Min-hui Huang and Hsien-chih Liu of Taipei, Taiwan. She graduated from the Chinese Culture University in Taipei, Taiwan, and she works for Evergreen International Corporation.
The groom is the son of Patricia Lynn Stokes of Charleston, South Carolina and L. Daryl Phelps of Summerville, South Carolina. He is the grandson of Betty L. Stokes of Charleston, South Carolina and the late James E. Stokes, Jr. Rick is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and works for Evergreen Shipping Agency.
The couple honeymooned in Bali, Indonesia, and they now reside in Dallas, Texas.
