Katherine Elizabeth Arrington and Rafael Antonio de la Maza were united in marriage on March 6, 2015, at the Doubletree Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina. The 6:30 pm service was performed by the Reverend Blair Gibson. Music for the ceremony was provided by Chris Teves. A reception followed, with music provided by Two 3 Ways and The Electric Company.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Stuart Arrington of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Edwin Brooks Nash and the late Mr. Nash of Greenville, South Carolina and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Stuart Arrington of Columbia, South Carolina. Mrs. de la Maza is a graduate of The University of South Carolina and is employed as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Trident Breast Care Center.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Isadore John Psaras of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and Mr. and Mrs. Rafael de la Maza of Miami, Florida. He is the grandson of Mr. Rafael Maza of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and the late Mrs. Maza and Mr. and Mrs. Alejandro de la Peńa of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Mr. de la Maza is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University of Miami, Florida and is employed by Ben Arnold Distributors as a Sales Representative.
The bride was escorted by her father. Caroline Netherton Barnes, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lee-Ann Tuttle Austin, Julie Huber Busa, Kristen Marie Capaldo, Sandra Denise de la Maza, sister of the groom; Claire Wilson Glover, Erin Traynham Jarrett, and Elliott Swanson Locklear. Rebecca Louise Arrington, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Ross McPhail Stabler served as best man. Groomsmen were Scott McKinley Arrington and Stuart Brooks Arrington, brothers of the groom; Spencer O’Neil Cannon, Brandon Aaron Deeb, Justin Allyn Fisher, Lance Austin Nilsen, and Charles Edward Smith. Jack Nash Arrington, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the family of the groom, was held on March 5, 2015, at the Mills House Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina. Following a wedding trip to Italy, the couple will reside in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
