Shelby Lynn Ayers and Oliver Eugene Harrelson, both of Moncks Corner, SC, were married on March 7, 2015. The six o’clock service, performed by Pastor Timothy Scoonover, was held at First Presbyterian Church of Moncks Corner. A reception followed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Oliver in Pinopolis, SC.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James William Ayers of Moncks Corner. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Murray Bernard Ayers, Mr. Joseph Clyde Coker, and the late Mrs. JoAnn Cherry Coker, all of Moncks Corner. Shelby earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lander University, and she works as a Corporate Financial Analyst for Evening Post Industries.
The groom is the son of Mr. Michael Eugene Harrelson and Mrs. Lynne Oliver Shepherd, both of Moncks Corner. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Haskell Eugene Harrelson of Alcolu, SC and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Footman Oliver Jr. of Pinopolis, SC. He graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College, where he earned an Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Forestry Management Technology with an emphasis in Wildlife Management. He is a Field Specialist with the South Carolina Department of Agriculture.
Heather Adrene Boyd was maid of honor. Bride’s attendants were Jennifer Lynne Harrelson, Christine Lynnette Oliver, and Katie Ferris Reeves. Flower girl was Georgia Brinson Phillips.
Mr. Michael Eugene Harrelson stood as his son’s best man. Groomsmen included James William Ayers Jr., James Ellis Hammond, and Kenneth Evan Hammond. Serving as ring bearer was Miller Altman Whetzel.
After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Moncks Corner.
