Nora Harrison Grimball and Derek James Norton, both of Columbia, SC, were married on March 21, 2015, at The Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation with the reception following. The Rev. Alfred T.K. Zadig performed the five o’clock ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Ellerbe Grimball of Mt Pleasant, SC. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mason Gardner Alexander and Mrs. William Heyward Grimball and the late Mr. Grimball, all of Charleston, SC. Harrison attended Furman University and graduated from the College of Charleston with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. She earned a M Ed in Special Education with a concentration in Severe and Multiple disabilities from the University of South Carolina and is employed by Richland District One in Columbia, SC.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Aaron Norton of Pearl River, NY. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Thomas Halusic of Stillwater, NY and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roger Norton of Endwell, NY. He earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the Citadel and is a firefighter with the Columbia Fire Department.
Miss Frances Satterlee Lucas Grimball was the maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Mallory Norton Dionne, Kaitlin Pantatell Ditto, Paige Nelson Grimball, Asha Dilip Purohit and Sarah Helen Scott.
The best man was David Thomas Ditto, and groomsmen were Michael Dionne, Francis Heyward Grimball, Andrew Newton, Daniel Josiah Pritchard and William Christopher Walker. Ushers were Ethan Dewey Brewer and Davis Whitfield Gouldin.
Following a honeymoon in Florida, the couple will reside in Columbia, SC.
