Courtney Christine Kirwin and Robert Chilton Stone, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC, were joined in marriage on April 18, 2015, at St. Andrew’s Church in Mt. Pleasant. The Reverend Robert C. Sturdy officiated the six o’clock ceremony, and a reception followed at the Daniel Island Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Patrick Kirwin of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Barbara Jennings Zobel and the late Mr. Harold Earle Zobel of Georgetown, SC and Mrs. Patricia Smith McArdle and the late Mr. James Joseph Kirwin of Ocean City, MD. Courtney is a graduate of The University of South Carolina.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Donathon Stone III of Isle of Palms, SC. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Donathon Stone Jr. of Isle of Palms, SC and the late Mr. and Mrs. Arne E. Swanson of Wyoming, NY. Chilton is a graduate of The University of Colorado and Florida Coastal School of Law.
Miss Hyatt Elizabeth Kirwin, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bride’s attendants included Miss Meredith Lee Breeden, Miss Kelly Ann Hilsin, Miss Erin Elisabeth Smith, Miss Stephanie Catherine McConahy, Mrs. Allison West Stone, sister-in-law of the groom; Mrs. Emily Evans Limehouse, Mrs. Erin Samuelson Clark, and Mrs. Mary Kathryn Marsha McWilliams. The flower girl was Miss Mary Margaret Stone, niece of the groom.
Mr. Alexander Donathon Stone IV, brother of the groom, stood as best man. Groomsmen included Mr. Eric George Stone, brother of the groom; Mr. Patrick James Kirwin, brother of the bride; Mr. Michael Patrick Conway, Mr. Andrew Joseph Crosby, Mr. Chip Joseph Dunham, Mr. Andrew Kurt Hoek, Mr. Niall Patrick Kennedy, and Mr. Michael Travis McCombs. Mr. Sullivan Harper Williams served as usher. The ring bearer was Master Alexander Donathan Stone V, nephew of the groom.
On Friday, April 17th, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at No. 5 Faber. After a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple will reside in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
