Sylvia Alison Lee of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Paul Joseph Clarkson of Charleston, SC were joined in marriage on May 23, 2015, at Middleton Plantation on Edisto Island by the Honorable William J. Wylie Jr. A reception immediately followed the five o’clock ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William H. Lee III of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Her grandparents are Mrs. Betty S. Lee and the late Dr. William H. Lee Jr. of Charleston, SC, and Mrs. Sylvia C. Dellinger and the late Mr. Jackson O. Parker, both of Bessemer City, NC. In 2011 she graduated from Clemson University with a B.A, and in 2015 she graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with an M.D. Sylvia will complete her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
The groom is the son of Mr. Townsend P. Clarkson of Charleston, SC and the late Mrs. Deborah B. Dollar of Simpsonville, SC. His grandparents are Mrs. Caroline Boineau and the late Mr. Jack Boineau of Edisto Island, SC and Mrs. Ameda W. Brown and the late Mr. Paul J. Brown II of Indianapolis, IN. Paul earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from Clemson University in 2010. He is a veterinary assistant at Banfield Pet Hospital.
Maid of honor was Miss Lindsey Wilzbach. Bride’s attendants were Miss Lauren Benner, Mrs. Alysia Clarkson, Miss Ellen B. Jones, Miss Savannah Miller, Miss Carlee Rosen, and Miss Arianne Wolfe. Serving as flower girl was Miss Bella O’Hara.
Mr. A. Taylor Clarkson stood as best man. Groomsmen included Mr. Taylor Earle, Mr. Michael Hollerbach, Mr. William H. Lee IV, Mr. W. Burke Lackey, Mr. Ryan Padgett, and Mr. Jeffrey Zucker. Ring bearer was Master Townsend P. Clarkson III.
