Brenda Janet Nambo Bustamante of Puebla, Mexico and Joshua Cary Hickman of Charleston, SC were married on April 11, 2015, in Cholula, Puebla at the Hacienda el Jaguey. The Reverend Alberto Páras performed the six o’clock ceremony, and a reception followed on the grounds of the Hacienda.
The bride is the daughter of Ignacio Nambo Sierra and Aidee Rosalia Bustamante Morlett, both of Mexico. Her grandparents are Julia and Juan Nambo and Lolita Morlett and Rafael Bustamante, all of Mexico. She graduated from As Media University and worked for Azteca America Television.
The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Cary Hickman of Charleston, SC. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hickman of Green Pond, SC and James C. Baker and Marcella Baker of Walterboro, SC. He earned a B.S. in Business Management from Anderson University and works for Roper St. Francis.
The bride wore an ivory strapless gown with a dipped neckline, hand embroidered and beaded bodice, and dropped waist. The double tiered skirt featured a balloon hem and a cathedral train. Her elbow length veil was a double tiered backpiece trimmed in lace. She carried a bouquet of fresh roses with accents of baby’s breath and foliage, wrapped in satin ribbon.
Bridesmaids included Claudia Arcega, Melissa Vizcaya, Xochitl Garcia, and Lena Skrynnikova. Groomsmen were Daniel Hickman, Jonathan Hickman, Stephen Hickman, and Edgar Nambo.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico, and they make their home in Charleston, SC.
