Frances Satterlee Lucas Grimball and Davis Whitfield Gouldin

The marriage of Miss Frances Satterlee Lucas Grimball of Mt. Pleasant, SC to Mr. Davis Whitfield Gouldin of Richmond, VA took place on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at St. Michael’s Church in Charleston, SC. The Reverend Alfred T. K. Zadig Jr. officiated. A reception followed at the Carolina Yacht Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Ellerbe Grimaball of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Mason Gardner Alexander and Mrs. William Heyward Grimball and the late Mr. Grimball, all of Charleston, SC. She is a graduate of The University of Virginia, and she will attend Dental School at Virginia Commonwealth University beginning in July.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Alfred Gouldin of Richmond, VA. His grandparents are the late Mr. Mrs. James Whitfield Thweatt, formerly of Richmond, VA, and Mrs. Richard Wilson Gouldin and the late Mr. Gouldin of Warsaw, VA. He graduated from The University of Virginia and earned his Master’s from the BrandCenter at Virginia Commonwealth University. He will be employed by Capitol One.
The bride’s sister, Harrison Grimball Norton of Columbia, SC, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Taylor Elizabeth Anderson, Ellen Hudson Brown, Paige Nelson Grimball, Rachel Needle Hawes, Hannah Fields Hollon, Rebecca Quinn Massie, Kaitlin McMahon Prey, Alice Elizabeth Scarborough, and Meghan Gouldin Young.
The groom’s brother, Robert Kemp Gouldin of Arlington, VA, was best man. Groomsmen included Francis Heyward Grimball, Harrison McKenzie Jones, Luke Ryan Kincaid, James Pleasants Massie IV, Nathan Allen McFarland, Alan Foster Miller, Derek James Norton, Stephen William Vorlop, and David Edwin Young II.
Mary Kathryn Fisher, Katherine Elizabeth McNeill, Christina Nichols Oelsner, and Kathleen Carter Smith were greeters. Readers were Suzanne Shelley Gill, and Jon-Marc Haden.
After a honeymoon in Mexico, the couple will reside in Richmond, VA.
