Stefanie Louise Stewart and Philip Pinckney Boyne, both of Raleigh, were married on June 27, 2015, at five o’clock in the evening at The Church of the Good Shepherd in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Reverend Doctor Robert C. Sawyer officiated. A reception followed, hosted by the bride’s family, at The Garden on Millbrook. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal party was hosted by the groom’s parents at Haywood Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Catherine and Randall Luck of Cary, NC, and Kevin Wayne Stewart of Steilacoom, WA. She is the granddaughter of Loyette Ann Stewart, the late Bill Allen Stewart, and the late David and Sandra Hill Stamey.
The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. John Vincent Boyne of Raleigh, NC. He is the grandson of Nancy Gary Pinckney, the late Mr. Philip DuTart Pinckney of Charleston, SC, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Haig Boyne of Beaufort, SC.
The bride was escorted by her mother. Katheryn Garrett Bradsher served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly Danielle Bahoric, Karen Gazda Boyne, Lily Anne Higgenbotham, Margaret Estelle Pearce, and Amy Dawn Wright. Elizabeth Anita Boyne was the flower girl.
John Vincent Boyne was the best man. Groomsmen were John Vincent Boyne, Jr., James Clark Boyne, James Merrick Finan, Sean William Finch, and Daniel Ian Spencer. John Vincent Boyne III was the ring bearer. Scripture was read by Richard James Murray and Margaret Estelle Pearce.
The bride graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, with a Bachelor of Arts in History and is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Social Studies Education. The groom was a Park Scholar at North Carolina State University, from which he graduated as a valedictorian with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. He received a Master of Arts in Science Education at East Carolina University. He is a teacher at St. David’s School. After a honeymoon in Maine and Montreal, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
