Emily Elizabeth Pearce and Blake Alexander Muldrow, both of Greenville, S.C., were married at 6 p.m. July 18 at First Presbyterian Church in Greenville, S.C.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher C. Pearce IV of Winston-Salem. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Charles Payne of Athens, G.A.; Mrs. Christopher Columbus Pearce III of Greenville, S.C.; and the late Mr. Christopher Columbus Pearce III. She received a B.A. degree in elementary education at Clemson University, and is a teacher at Berea Elementary School in Greenville, S.C.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stuart Muldrow of Mount Pleasant, S.C. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Major Alexander of Aiken, S.C.; Mr. William Blake Muldrow of Monroe; and the late Mrs. Betty Whitaker Muldrow. He received a B.S. degree in construction science management and a master’s degree in real estate development at Clemson University. He is employed by Homes Urban in Greenville, S.C.
The bride was escorted by her father in an ivory strapless silk ballgown featuring covered buttons along the back of the box-pleated skirt that fell into a chapel-length train. Detailing the bodice of the gown was an overlay of embroidered Alençon lace that featured a bateau neckline and quarter-length sleeves. The bride’s ivory chapel-length illusion veil was detailed with embroidered Alençon lace along the border, and she wore a handcrafted headpiece adorned with Swarovski crystals and pearls that was previously worn by her sister. She carried a bouquet featuring a mix of white and blush peonies.
Matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Kelly Pearce Martin of Greenville, S.C. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Pearce Armstrong, Sarah Rigter Jacobs and Anne McIntyre Hargrove, all of Greenville, S.C.; Michelle Penner Samuel and Emily Holmes Robinson, both of Winston-Salem; Rachel Dawn Ellyn of Charleston, S.C.; Lauren Ann Teague and Caroline Mills Fuqua, both of Charlotte; Elizabeth Marie Binnicker of New Orleans, La.; and Lindsay Ann Battaglia of Atlanta, Ga.
Serving as best man was the groom’s father, Charles Stuart Muldrow. Groomsmen were Camden Stuart Muldrow of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; Christopher C Pearce V of Los Angeles, Calif.; Melvin Harris Goodwin of Spanish Fort, Al.; Fleetwood Leon Fleming III of Conroe, Texas; Andrew Edward Smilak, and Charles Griffin Hill, both of Charleston, S.C.; Davis Gregory Miller of Clemson, S.C.; Paul Stiles Alexander of Washington, D.C.; John Murphy Armstrong of Greenville, S.C.; and David Patrick Petrovski of Charlotte.
The bride’s cousin, Elizabeth Middleton Ragsdale of Greenville, S.C., was the flower girl.
The bride’s cousin, Pearce Butler Ragsdale of Greensville, S.C., served as ring bearer.
Program attendants were friends of the bride: Arden Elaine Hare, Katherine Rowe Tribble and Frances Lynn Timmons, all of Charleston, S.C.; and Nikki Lefort Steelman of Aiken, S.C.
Flowers were designed by Greg Foster, and the wedding cake was provided by The Bakery off Augusta.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Westin Poinsett in Greenville, S.C. Reception music was provided by the Liquid Pleasure Super Show.
On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at The Lazy Goat in Greenville, S.C.
A bridesmaids luncheon, hosted by Bonnie Colhoun, Godmother of the bride, and Joy Patterson, friend of the family, was held at Twigs Tempietto in Greenville, S.C.
After a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple will live in Greenville, S.C.
