Rebecca Elise Crosby and Steven Earl Kukulka, both of Charleston, were married Saturday, August 1, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Charleston. The 6:00 ceremony was performed by Reverend Marshall Blalock and Reverend Alfred Zadig. A reception followed at the Country Club of Charleston. The rehearsal dinner was held at Prospect Hill Plantation.
The bride is the daughter of retired Major General and Mrs. William Timothy Crosby of Huntsville, Alabama, and the granddaughter of the late Colonel and Mrs. Ralph Dozier Crosby of Charleston, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donel Haddon McIntosh of Sumter. She graduated from College of Charleston with a bachelor of arts in biology and a master’s degree in elementary education. She will be employed by KSH Solutions Inc.
The groom is the son of Mr. Daniel William Kukulka of Conway and the late Mrs. Jane Heffner Kukulka, and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Benedict Kukulka of Chicago, and Mrs. Earl Charles Heffner, of Barto, Pennsylvania, and the late Mr. Heffner. He graduated from The Citadel with a bachelor of science in secondary education. He is employed as an economics teacher at Fort Dorchester High School.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Sara Crosby Boyle, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Virginia Caroline Crosby Hodges, cousin of the bride; Grace Caroline Keidel, cousin of the bride; Caroline Catherine Leary, Cristina Leigh Piechocki, Rebecca Lasley Shirer, and Marydele Hardy Tennent. Salley Elizabeth Todd and Lila Ferebee Todd, cousins of the bride; and Cora Hamilton Holum served as flower girls.
Timothy James Driver, Jr. served as best man. Groomsmen were Davis Wilder Boyle, brother-in- law of the bride; William Timothy Crosby, Jr., brother of the bride; Werner William Keidel, III, cousin of the bride; Christopher Charles Nuckols, Miles Paul Warren, and Joshua Paul Webb. Alexander Hampton Keidel, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearer.
Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Charleston.
