Natalie Elizabeth Deitch of Summerville, SC and Aaron Jay Voorhees of Corning, NY were married at 6:00pm on September 18, 2015, under the canopy of oaks at the Legare Waring House at Charlestowne Landing in Charleston, SC. The reception immediately followed and was catered by Salthouse Caterers and Oscar’s of Summerville. Chris Lofton officiated. Music for the service was provided by a string quartet from Entertainment Charleston and soloist Anne DeVenny O’Sullivan. On the eve of the wedding the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal party at Water’s Edge Restaurant on Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Nancy Helen Deitch and Mr. Mark Joel Deitch, both of Summerville, SC. Her grandparents are Mrs. William Wayne Simpson and the late Mr. Simpson of Clinton, IN and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Deitch of Silver Spring MD. A graduate of Summerville High School, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Clemson University. Natalie is the General Manager of Oscar’s Place in Summerville.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay E. Voorhees of Corning, NY. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Allan Dalrymple and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jay J. Voorhees of upstate New York. Aaron is a graduate of Corning-Painted Post High School. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Naval Architecture from State University of New York Maritime College. He is a Merchant Mariner with Hornbeck Offshore Services in Covington, LA.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her brother, Adam Joel Deitch, stood as man of honor. Honorary bridesmaids included Jamie Brussard, Drue Draper, Elizabeth Walker Miller, Annie Ratcliff, Michelle Reiter, Rose Water Stephens, and Angela Hughes Zokan.

Mr. and Mrs. Voorhees honeymooned in Costa Rica, and they now reside on James Island.
