Dr. Elizabeth Grace Graham and Dr. Kevin McKenzie Gurysh

Dr. Elizabeth Grace Graham and Dr. Kevin McKenzie Gurysh, both of Durham, NC, were joined in holy matrimony on Friday, October 9, 2015, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Charleston, SC. Father Robert Higgins officiated the five o’clock ceremony, and music was provided by Charlton Singleton. A reception followed at Hibernian Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Joseph Graham of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Alice Foor and the late Mr. James Alexander Eichelberger of Saxton, PA and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Joseph Graham of Cincinnati, OH. Elizabeth earned a B.S. in Bioengineering from Clemson University and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Virginia Tech-Wake Forest University School of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences. She works for the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Nelson Gurysh of Clemmons, NC. He is the grandson of Mrs. Jeanne Denzer of Clemmons, NC, Mr. Gary Denzer of Phoenix, OR, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Gurysh of Northumberland, PA. He earned a B.S. in Biology from Wake Forest University and his M.D. from Wake Forest University. He is employed by Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.
The bride wore a necklace that belonged to her great-great-grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Sweet Eichelberger. Mrs. Jayne VanSant of Alexandria, VA, cousin of the bride, was her matron of honor. Bride’s attendants included Mrs. Katherine Bjorkman of Summerville, SC, Mrs. Leah Murphy of El Paso, TX, Ms. Erica Bunke of Charleston, SC, Ms. Mollie Hamilton of Greenville, SC, Mrs. Brittany Webster of Abilene, TX, Dr. Caitlin Jablonski of Corvallis, OR, and Mrs. Claire Juneau of Denver, CO.
Mr. Steven Gurysh of Pittsburgh, PA, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Brian Graham of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Mr. Christian Graham of Charleston, SC, both brothers of the bride; Mr. John Pope of Richmond, VA, Mr. Swain Lewis of Winston-Salem, NC, Dr. Mike Kimura of New York, NY, Dr. Robert Palmer of Jacksonville, FL, and Dr. Daniel Juneau of Denver, CO.
On the evening before the wedding the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Morgan Creek Grill on Isle of Palms. The couple currently resides in Durham, NC.
