Kathleen (Katie) Dunn Cosgrove and Kirk Mease Shields, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC, were married in Riviera Maya, Mexico on July 18, 2015. Paul Minor officiated the ceremony at half past five in the evening, and a reception followed at Blue Diamond Riviera Maya.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Malloy Cosgrove III of Athens, GA. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Jim Clay, the late Mr. and Mrs. William Malloy Cosgrove II, and Mrs. Dot Westmoreland, all of Atlanta, GA. Katie graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Political Science and Economics. She works as an Applications Sales Manager at Oracle Corporation.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Rowley Shields of Mt. Pleasant, SC. His grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. John R. Shields of Mt. Pleasant, SC and the late Mr. and Mrs. Vernon E. Mease of Clearwater, FL. He earned a B.S. in Health and Wellness from The Citadel and is employed by Stryker Corp. as a Medical Sales Representative.
Kimi Cosgrove Minor was matron of honor. Bridemaids were Haley Cuzzell, Megan McFarland, Erin Phillips, and Lindsey Licht.
Mark Shields stood as his son’s best man. Groomsmen included Parker Shields, Milt Stratos, Scott Arrington, and Chris McEachern.
The couple honeymooned in Tulum, Mexico, and they now reside in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
