Angela Hamer Dillard Salmons of Charleston, SC and William Johnson Stevens III of Yonges Island, SC were married on December 5th, 2015, at St. Michael’s Church in Charleston, SC. The Rev. Alfred T.K. Zadig Jr. performed the 6:00pm service. A reception followed and was held at the Carolina Yacht Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Waring Salmons, Jr. of Charleston, SC. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Waring Salmons of Charleston, SC and the late Reverend Starke Spotswood Dillard, and Mrs. Starke Spotswood Dillard, of Raleigh, NC. Dillard graduated from The College of Charleston with a degree in Art History and is in business development with Salmons Dredging Corporation.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson Stevens, Jr. of Yonges Island, SC. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson Stevens, also of Yonges, Island, and Mrs. Robert Walker Groves and the late Mr. Groves of Savannah, GA. Johnson is a graduate of Wofford College, where he majored in Economics. He is the President of Stevens Towing Company.
The matron of honor was Mrs. Carter Lee Johnson. The bride’s attendants were Ms. Elaine Abrams Buckheister, Mrs. Hannah Hipp Habeeb, Ms. Elizabeth Wood Hollerith, Mrs. Jane Werrell Prevost, Mrs. Shelby August Storen, and Mrs. Laura Bauersfeld Taylor.
The best man was Robert Walker Groves Stevens.
