Dr. Elizabeth Collins Bacot Myers of Columbia, South Carolina, and Mr. Andrew Collin Sigler of Kansas City, Missouri, were married on May 14th at Grace Church Cathedral in Charleston, South Carolina. The Reverend Canon Caleb J. Lee and the Reverend Canon Charles Davis, Jr. performed the ceremony. The bride’s sibling, M. Kit Colquhoun Myers, read a poem by Robert Frost, originally written for his daughter’s wedding, and the bridegroom’s uncle, Mr. Eric Collins Sigler, read several lessons. Music for the service was provided by Mr. Lee Kohlenberg, organist, Mr. Chris Larios, trumpeter, and Mr. Vinson Cole, soloist. A reception followed at the Cedar Room at the Old Cigar Factory, in downtown Charleston.
The bride is the daughter of Drs. deRosset and Felicity Myers of Columbia and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. deRosset Myers of Charleston and the late Reverend Canon and Mrs. Kenneth Costin of Bennington, Vermont. The bride is a graduate of Sewanee: The University of the South and the Medical University of South Carolina. She will begin her residency in anesthesiology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia this summer.
The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Linda Evans Sigler and Mr. Andrew Howard Sigler of Kansas City and the grandson of Mrs. Susannah Schrader Evans, the late Mr. Robert William Evans, Mrs. Jacqueline Collins Sigler, and Mr. John Robert Sigler, all of Kansas City. The bridegroom is a graduate of Sewanee: The University of the South. He will be working in finance in Atlanta, Georgia.
The bride’s attendants were Mrs. Isabella Rhett Reeves Bentley, Ms. Felicity Brook Laird, Mrs. Alice Ann Nix Dereix, Ms. Rebecca Elizabeth Rust, Dr. Lara Lapidus Hewett, Ms. Harriet Evans Sigler, and Ms. Joyce Anne Kuik. Ms. Hannah Joan Conte and Ms. Maeve Melissa Conte were greeters.
The groomsmen were Mr. Thibaut Rice Brooks, Mr. Henry French Gerrity, Mr. Richard Neat Eddleman Clark, Mr. Daniel Scott Riesmeyer, and Mr. Jack Joseph Euston. Mr. Hunter Gustin Chamberlain and Mr. John Burnell Fryer were ushers.
