Gibbon Sizemore Miler of Summerville, SC and Dr. Bryan Ellis Ashley of Columbia, SC were joined in marriage on Saturday, June 18th at Magnolia Plantation in Charleston, SC. The Reverend John F. Scott officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Sherwood Miler, III of Summerville, SC and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Corbett Sizemore, Jr. of Greenwood, SC and the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Sherwood Miler, Jr. of Summerville, SC. She is a 2010 graduate of the College of Charleston and is currently employed with the CT Corporation as a Strategic Account Consultant.
The Groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. James Park Ashley of Columbia, SC and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Willard Herndon of Aiken, SC and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Allen Ashley, Jr. of Columbia, SC. He is a 2009 graduate of the University of South Carolina and a 2014 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Ashley is currently in his second year of radiology residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
Sister of the bride, Elizabeth Chandler Miler, was the Maid of Honor and Elizabeth Walker Miller was the Matron. Bridesmaids were Margaret Nason Ashley, Danielle Elizabeth Ely, Caroline Augusta Miler, Elizabeth Ann Robinson, Kera Jenkins Selzer, Savannah Marie Spearman, Jordan Payne Strobeck, Margaret Jordan Tanner, Kelsi Amber Ward and Sarah Frances Ward. Flower girl was Miss Campbell Greer Reagin. The bride was given away by her father.
Brother of the groom, James Park Ashley, Jr. was the Best Man. Groomsmen were Richard Larkin Bogan, William Tison Bowers, Jr., Jason Lee Burnside, Dr. Todd Warner Gandy, Robert Edward Kneece, III, Dr. Benson Ross Langdon, Daniel Sherwood Miler, IV, Sloan Fitzpatrick Miler, Nicholas Demosthenes Papadea, Bettis Cantelou Rainsford, Jr., John Adam Ribock and Dr. Nelson Edings Seabrook. Ring bearer was Mr. Harrison Britt Reagin.
Guests were ushered by Dr. Briggs Mason Ahearn, Daniel Allen Morgan, Dr. William Thomas Rivers and Dr. William Alvo Stokes.
The couple will reside in Chapel Hill, NC.
