Molly Gannon Killorin and Dr. Jeffrey Michael Basile, both of Charleston, SC, were joined in marriage on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at The Governor Thomas Bennett House in Charleston, SC. Rabbi Brian Harris officiated the 5:00 pm ceremony with music provided by Classical Charleston. A reception followed on the grounds.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Killorin of Burlington, NC. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Janet Marsden and the late Mr. Philip Marsden of Stone Mountain, GA and Mrs. Jean Killorin of Burlington, NC and the late Mr. Ambrose Killorin of St. Petersburg, FL. Molly holds a B.A. from Elon University and is employed with Le Creuset.
The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Jan Basile of Charleston, SC. He is the grandson of the late Mrs. Carolyn Lavine of Charleston, SC, the late Mr. Talbert Lavine of Eatontown, NJ and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Basile of Royal Palm Beach, FL. Jeff earned his B.A. from Wesleyan University, his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Virginia and his fellowship in gastroenterology at Duke University. He is a physician at Charleston GI.
Meghan Rorie, the bride’s sister, was the matron of honor and Katina Boozer, the bride’s friend, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jordan Gocke and Francie Rudolph. The flower girl was Connell Gocke. Jan Basile, the groom’s father, and Jason Basile, the groom’s brother, were the best men. Groomsmen were Patrick Gocke and Austin Rorie. The ring bearers were Bram Gocke and Tilghman Rorie.
A rehearsal dinner was given by the groom’s parents on Friday, June 3, 2016 at The Historic Rice Mill. The couple honeymooned on Peter Island in the British Virgin Islands and will reside in Mt. Pleasant.
