Miss Ana Cristina Alvarez and Mr. John Carter Cash both of Hendersonville, TN were united in marriage on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at half past three o’clock in the afternoon at the French Huguenot Church in Charleston, SC. The ceremony was officiated by close family friend and pastor, Dr. Jimmy Sites. Flowers adorned the altar in loving memory of the groom’s parents. Music for the ceremony was provided by several of Ana’s nieces, who were also bridesmaids. Following the ceremony, a tented dinner and reception was held at Historic Middleton Place and Gardens. Music was provided by the Equinox Jazz Orchestra of Savannah, GA.
On the eve of the wedding, an intimate rehearsal dinner was held at Poogan’s Porch in Charleston, SC.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rene Agustin Alvarez of Miami, FL. Ana Cristina is currently living in Hendersonville as well as continuing to work as a singer/songwriter in the studio and is focused on finishing her new album. She has performed at many high profile events, including at the White House for the President of the United States.
The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John R. Cash. He is an author of six books and owns and operates Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, TN. He is also a record producer and accomplished singer and songwriter. He and Ana Cristina frequently perform and tour together.
The bride was escorted and given away in marriage by her father. She wore a beautiful, Vera Wang gown with a cathedral length Chantilly lace veil and carried a delicate bouquet of lily of the valley. It was an honor to have her 93 year-old grandmother, Mrs. Maria Amelia Vazquez, in attendance. Ms. Marisa Alvarez Martinez and Dr. Aileen Alvarez Fibkins, sisters of the bride, served as matrons of honor. Mr. Bill Birdsong Miller, close friend of the groom, served as best man.
Ana and John plan to continue to make their home in Hendersonville.
