Miss Virginia Isabelle Ruane and Mr. Stephen Jennings White, Junior were married on July 15, 2017 at half after six o’clock in the evening at Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Reverend Doctor Joe Clifford officiated. A reception followed at Myers Park Country Club.
     The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Lawrence Ruane III of Charlotte, North Carolina. Isabelle is the granddaughter of Mrs. Charles Edward Zeigler, Senior and the late Mr. Charles Edward Zeigler, Senior of Charlotte, North Carolina (formerly of Gastonia, North Carolina) and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Lawrence Ruane, Junior of Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Isabelle is a graduate of Virginia Episcopal School and Wake Forest University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Art History. Isabelle is employed by Wake Forest University in the Office of University Advancement in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and is a member of the Junior League of Winston-Salem.
     The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Jennings White, Senior of Charleston, South Carolina. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leland James White, Senior of Charleston, South Carolina and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Westcott Stewart of Charlottesville, Virginia. Stephen is a graduate of Woodberry Forest School, the University of Georgia, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and Wake Forest University School of Law. Stephen is an associate attorney at Ott Cone & Redpath in Greensboro, North Carolina and is a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Msgr. John L. Manning Division.
     Escorted by her father, the bride wore an Austin Scarlett strapless column gown with asymmetrical neckline detail and petal train. She wore a Vera Wang double-layer chapel length veil with Chantilly lace border. The bride carried a garden style bouquet of roses, tulips, hydrangeas, peonies, and sprigs of boxwood finished with an ivory silk ribbon. Maid of Honor was Glencora Alison Maccubbin of Williamsburg, Virginia. Bridesmaids were Emily Alexandra Bebber of Charlotte, North Carolina, Katherine Paige Bosworth of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Molly Catherine Donohue of Alexandria, Virginia, Sarah White Evans of Charleston, South Carolina, Christine White Statz of Winter Park, Florida, and Amelia May White of Austin, Texas.
     Best Man was Christopher deGraffenried Keenan, Junior of Columbia, South Carolina. Groomsmen were John Alden Rivers Evans of Charleston, South Carolina, David Cameron Hopper of Los Angeles, California, Wesley Lawrence Prescott Hutchins of Savannah, Georgia, James Lawrence Ruane IV of Charlotte, North Carolina, Kasper Bennet Statz of Winter Park, Florida, Westcott Stewart White of Charleston, South Carolina and Porter Frederick Young of Jacksonville, Florida.   
     On Friday morning, the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. Virginia Isabelle Huffstetler Zeigler, hosted a luncheon honoring Isabelle and her bridesmaids at The Duke Mansion. Later that evening, the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Jennings White, Senior hosted a rehearsal dinner at Winghaven Garden & Bird Sanctuary.
     Following a honeymoon in Bermuda, Mr. and Mrs. White will be at home in Winston-Salem.
