Emily Marguerite Frenz of Charleston, SC and Peter Elliott Botzis of Charleston, SC, were married on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 6:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Charleston, SC. The Reverend R. Marshall Blalock performed the candlelight ceremony. Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Dr. Beverly Cox Bradley and soloists Miss Anna Martha Thigpen and Mrs. Martha Thigpen. A reception followed at Founders Hall at Charlestowne Landing.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Robert Frenz, Sr. of Charleston, SC. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Norward Alexander Reardon and the late Mr. Norward Alexander Reardon,Jr. of Sumter, SC and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Norman Frenz , also of Sumter, SC. Emily graduated from the University of South Carolina.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jody Thurmond Crouse and Mr. and Mrs. Peter David Botzis , both of Charleston ,SC. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Millard Morris and Mrs. And Mrs. Peter Petro Botzis of Charleston, SC. Elliott graduated from The University of South Carolina.
The bride wore a vintage style ivory gown and veil of Chantilly and embroidered lace and beading on soft tulle with scalloped hemline. Miss Carlisle Beach Hiott was maid of honor. The bride’s attendants were Mrs. Allison Smith Frenz, Miss Victoria Ann Botzis, Miss Kelly Jean Bessinger, Miss Kaitlin Michelle Parker, Miss Melanie Juliette Simons-Guerra, Miss Madeline Grace Bessinger, Miss Ayla Elizabeth Toussaint, and Miss Katharine Jane Dosher. Mr. Peter David Botzis was the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Chandler Morris Crouse, Mr. Lucious Workman Morris, Mr. Christopher John Bocklet, Mr. Robertson Lane Gramling, Mr. Lonnie Rodriquez Howard, Jr., Mr. Jordan Trent Keisler, Mr. Strom Wesley Altman, Jr., and Mr. Edward Robert Frenz, Jr. Master Edward Robert Frenz, III. was the honorary ring bearer and Miss Elizabeth Ann Sprouse was the flower girl.
A rehearsal dinner was given by Mr. and Mrs. Jody Thurmond Crouse and Mr. and Mrs. Peter David Botzis at the Old Exchange Building.
After a honeymoon in Mexico, the couple will reside in Charleston, SC, where they will attend Medical University of South Carolina in August.
