Elizabeth Bentley Hagood and Mark Benjamin Currin were married on October 21, 2017, at St. Philip’s Church in Charleston, SC. The Rev. Marc Boutan performed the six o’clock in the evening ceremony. A reception followed at Hibernian Hall.        
     The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Kenneth Max Hughes and Mr. James Morrow Hagood II. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Ambler Hagood and Ms. Mary Grandberry Neill and the late Mr. John Alexander Neill.
Lizzie graduated from Ashley Hall High School in Charleston, SC. She then attended Clemson University where she graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Nursing. She is employed by East Cooper Medical Center.
     The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Marion Currin of Lookout Mountain, TN. He is the grandson of the late Mr.  & Mrs. Lafayette Hardwick Caldwell, Jr., and the late Dr. and Mrs. Robert Graves Currin. He is also well loved by his step-grandmother, Betsy Henry Caldwell.
Mark graduated from McCallie High School in Chattanooga, TN and earned a BS in Biology from Davidson College. He then earned an MD from the Medical University of South Carolina. He is employed by MUSC.
The matron of honor was Mary Neill Hagood McKie. Bridesmaids were Kathleen Hay Hagood, Chelsea Steadman Handegan, Samantha Linda Keane, Eleanor Anne Crawford Nicklas, Andraya Elyse Northrup, Kelly Merrill Selby, and Laura Kathleen Toews. The junior bridesmaid was Catherine Morrow Hagood. Flower girls were Mary Margaret Phelan Hagood, Virginia Maybank Hagood, and Louisa Hagood McKie.
Best Man was the groom’s father. Groomsmen were Samuel Marion Currin, Jr., Henry Caldwell Currin, Robert Lucas Currin, Eric Robert Ellis, Jr., Andrew Camp Hagood, Blake Abernethy McKie, Michael David Pepper, and Marshall Thonas Teague. The ring bearer was Samuel Marion Currin III. Readers were Henry Caldwell Currin and Benjamin Ambler Hagood, Jr.
A rehearsal dinner was given by the groom’s parents at The Carolina Yacht Club on October 20, 2017. The couple will honeymoon in Mexico and will reside in Charleston.
