Austen Myers Nettles and Paige Lauren Gainey

Paige Lauren Gainey, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Byron Gainey of Charleston, SC, and Austen Myers Nettles, son of Mr. & Mrs. Truett Nettles of Charleston, SC, were united in marriage on May 19, 2018 at 5 o’clock in the afternoon. The ceremony was held at Grace Church Cathedral in Charleston SC and was officiated by Rev. Robert Donahue. The maid of honor was Katie Lombard, friend of the bride, and the best man was Captain Keene Nettles, brother of the groom. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She was wearing an ivory ball gown with an artisan beaded corset bodice and carrying a bouquet of coral peonies, white roses and blue hydrangeas. The attendants wore mint green, one-shoulder, long gowns while the groom and groomsmen wore navy blue tuxedos.
The bride and groom are both graduates of Clemson University, where they studied biology and engineering respectively. The bride is currently a fourth year medical student at USC School of Medicine Greenville and the groom is an industrial engineer with Draxlmaier Automotive of Duncan, SC. A waterfront reception was held at the Historic Rice Mill. After their honeymoon in Antigua, the couple will reside in Greenville, SC.
