Felicia Howell Morrison and Benjamin Bernis Lindsey were married on Saturday, May 5, 2018 in Charleston, South Carolina. The ceremony was held in the garden of the Confederate Home, with the Reverend Jennie C. Olbrych officiating. The bride’s parents hosted a reception following the ceremony at the Carolina Yacht Club. On Friday evening, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at High Cotton in Charleston.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Elias Nissen Montague, II, of Charlotte and Mr. and Mrs. William Howell Morrison of Charleston. She is a graduate of Porter-Gaud School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her Master’s degree in Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is currently employed in South Lyon Community Schools in Michigan as a school social worker.
The groom is the son of Vice Admiral and Mrs. Bruce Hicks Lindsey of Norfolk, Virginia. He is a graduate of Norfolk Academy and the University of Virginia. He received his MD from the Medical College of Virginia and is employed by the University of Michigan, where he is completing his residency in orthopedic surgery.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Emily Wright Morrison Wood served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Ora Carlson, Sarah Jones Cox, Ann Ehrhardt deSaussure, Blair Putnam Lindsey, Caroline Cabe Podstupka, Parke Montague Vickers and Kate Connor Woodard. Lilly Erwin Morrison served as junior bridesmaid.
The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Robert Rivers Beasley, III, Thomas David Catron, Shawn Daniel Feinstein, Clayton Joseph Foret, Johnston Moseley Harris, Mohammed Tarek Hassanein and Raymond Melikian. Ushers were Elias Nissen Montague, Addison Street Montague, and Edward Jenner Wood, IV. The flower girl was Charlotte Peronneau Montague. Readers were Nicholas Victor Kliossis and Chelsea Suzanne Miles Scott.
The couple will honeymoon in Belize in April and reside in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
