Margaret McQueen Cantrell and David Thomas Danielson, both of Washington, DC, were married on August 24, 2013, at Lowndes Grove in Charleston, SC. The Reverend Paul Danielson, father of the groom, and Canon Laura Q. Cantrell, mother of the bride, performed the 6:30pm ceremony. Members of the Charleston Symphony provided music for the service.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. W. Paul Cantrell Jr. of Columbia, SC and the late Mr. W. Paul Cantrell, Jr. of Charleston, SC. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Quattlebaum and the late Mr. and Mrs. Warren Paul Cantrell, all of Charleston, SC. She is a graduate of Phillips Academy in Andover, MA and a cum laude graduate of Duke University. She also graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law. Margaret is an attorney with the United States Department of Labor.
The groom is the son of the Reverend and Mrs. Paul Danielson of Salinas, CA. He is the grandson of the late Reverend and Mrs. George Entwisle and the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Danielson of Santa Barbara, CA. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of California and earned his PhD from MIT in materials and engineering. David is the Assistant Secretary of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy with the United States Department of Energy.
Mrs. Bronwyn Heiss of Miami Beach, FL was matron of honor. Bride’s attendants were Mrs. Tatiana Cantrell, sister-in-law of the bride; Ms. Christine Cloonan of Boston, MA; Mrs. Lauren Moore-Kase of Morrisville, NC; and Mrs. Jennifer Shingleton Ewing of Boston. Miss Ruby Danielson, niece of the groom, was the flower girl. Mrs. Elizabeth Waldman of Geneva, Switzerland was the reader.
Best man was Mr. Mateo Jaramillo of San Francisco, CA. Groomsmen were Dr. Cody Friesen of Fort McDowell, AZ; Dr. Joel Moxley of Denver, CO; Dr. Eric Toone of Durham, NC; and Mr. W. Paul Cantrell III of Miami, FL. Ring bearer was Master Kai Danielson, nephew of the groom.
A rehearsal dinner was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rosen. After a wedding trip to Thailand, the couple will reside in Washington, DC.
