Sarah Elizabeth Gilden and Joseph McConnell Brady, both of Charleston, South Carolina, were married on September 7, 2013, at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church in Mount Pleasant, SC. The Reverend John Hage performed the ceremony at half past five o’clock. A reception followed at Alhambra Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wiliam Horace Gilden Jr. of Rodman, SC. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Joseph Frederick Gawrych and the late Barbara Wallace Gawrych, Mr. and Mrs. William Horace Gilden of Mount Pleasant, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Rumph of Charleston.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Joseph Brady of Richmond, VA. He is the grandson of of the late Mr. and Mrs. Royal George McConnell of Abingdon, Virginia and Mr. Robert Burrus Brady and the late Louise Williams Brady of Norfolk, VA.
Kathryn Suzanne Zais, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bride’s attendants were Caroline Gawrych Bean, Laura Preston Brady, Ashley Renee Rawls, Kerri Ann West, Allison Goodson Mawhinney, Andria Maria Riani, and Katherine Elizabeth Schoenfeld.
Mr. Robert Patrick Brady, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Filippo John DiMeglio, William Joseph Gilden, William Paul McCormack, Owen Michael McGuill III, Shaun Brandon Pille, Jonathan Rucker Sanders, and Jamie Robert Tyson. Nadeem Khan and Timothy Charles Parrish served as ushers.
The couple will make their home in Charleston.
