Martha Rebecca Locklear and Wesley Taylor Martino, both of Chicago, IL, were married on October 5, 2013, at First (Scots) Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC . The Rev. Dr. Daniel Massie performed the 5:30pm ceremony. Music was provided Dr. Choi, organist, Cameron Ulmer, soloist, and Michael Smith, trumpeter. A reception followed at the Carolina Yacht Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas O. Ray of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Mr. Victor A. Locklear of Dahlonega, GA. Her grandparents are Mrs. Charles W. Davis and the late Mr. Davis of Raleigh, NC and the late Mr. and Mrs. O. V. Locklear of Smyrna, GA. She graduated cum laude from Clemson and earned her Masterís degree from Walden University. She is a kindergarten teacher in Wilmette, IL.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Francis Martino of Isle of Palms, SC. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Martino of Atlanta, GA and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lamb of Union, SC. He is a graduate of the College of Charleston and earned his Masterís degree in business from Elon University. He is a sales representative for IBM in Chicago.
Baker Locklear Snider, the brideís sister, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Elliott Swanson Locklear, Caroline Allen, Blair Slusne Bell, Katie Carraway, Taylor Douglas Johnson, and Jessica McDonald.
Kyle Martino, brother of the groom, was best man. Brothers Matt Martino and Taylor Martino were groomsmen, along with Ed Spooner, Brad Tursi, Logan Pause, John Thorrington, Troy Lesesne, and Keith Wiggins.
A rehearsal party, hosted by the groomís parents, was held at Marianís in the French Quarter. After a trip to Turks and Caicos, the couple will make their home in Chicago.
